Creed: 1 week

May 22, 2020 by Adrienne

Creed is officially a week old… and two days. We’ve spent his first week fighting jaundice. It’s a beast. I’m tired, I’m incredibly thankful I splurged on a really nice pump, and I think we finally beat it. He’s been a yellow little man but is starting to just look pink. His tongue was yellow, his eyes are still pretty yellow, and his bilirubin numbers are finally dropping instead of climbing. We danced dangerously close to needing a bili blanket or hospital admittance and bili lights. I’ve never had to deal with this before. I’ve never been so glad to have baby get dirty and wet diapers.

I put 3 ounces on him in 12 hours. I’m impressed.

But. Creed is so sweet. So chill. I’ve quickly gotten him accustomed to being held, and I’m not even sorry. Soaking in this baby and loving every second.

So glad he is getting better and didn’t have to go to the hospital. We had 2 boys and our youngest one had it. Thankfully it wasn’t real bad.

    Enjoy this sweet baby boy.

He’s so cute, he seems quite alert to the camera. Glad he’s doing better. God bless you!
