Peeling apples: a big (little) family style

October 8, 2018 by Adrienne

A neighbor offered us a large box of apples. After lunch today, we all pitched in and peeled, cored, sliced, bagged, and froze twenty quarts of apples. Everyone had a job. Even Stellan and Elliot  chopped apples with a butter knife.

It took us about three hours from start to cleaned up. And for dessert… Ruby made an apple crisp.

We look forward to a few more of those this winter!

Wow!! Your children are doing a super job cutting up the apples. I could have used them when I did my apples. They’re learning some pretty great skills. Great job Adrienne

Great post. They look so into it, the good helpers they are!

P.S Just in case you’re in the mood for an inane comment…Your table and bench are beautiful, the bench especially.

We pulled the table out of a dumpster and the bench was in a churchyard with a free sign… Blaine refinished both. I love them. Thank you!
