Dream On.

June 16, 2016 by Adrienne

Big Family Love: When the seven year old plays all morning with her two year old sister, playing “Mom and Dad”. I suggested that they wash dishes and fold laundry, since that’s what Mom and Dad looks like in my world… the “Mom” part anyway. The “Dad” part would be out weeding the garden and fixing whatever has been broken that day… which they could certainly assist in as well. They declined, opting for playing with food toys, tea parties and the kitchen set, less the dirty dishes and scrubbing counters, and then headed out to push dolls for a stroll on the patio.

Clearly I’m not portraying a real-life accurate Mom and Dad picture to them.

So… my Big Family Win is merely that they entertain each other. In dreamland. I guess that’s a win. I think.

Funny!! They seem to understand the play versus the real work though. HA!!
