About Adrienne

A homeschooling mother of ten, ages 18 and under, I chronicle life, laughs, struggles, and lessons learned as I raise a larger-than-most sized family and try to laugh about the craziness.

At least you had a short labor. That was really fast to go from4 to complete. Glad it went well for you all.

Why did you have to give up home birth? I’m just curious.

I didn’t have to, but chose to. Elliot’s birth was hard and scary and I couldn’t get past it. I visited my midwife early in my pregnancy with Stellan, and timing in regards to a training course she was going to be away for meant she may be unable to attend his birth and I’d need a backup. With that and my fears of being home after the difficulties with Elliot, after much discussion decided on a hospital birth instead.
