Bear with me while I tell a poop story. I hesitated, but it’s one I don’t want to forget. It’s just funny. I’m almost 26 weeks pregnant. It feels like I’m falling apart. Everything hurts. I swallow a ridiculous amount of vitamins every day. This pregnancy is kicking my tush. I offhandedly mentioned to my husband […]
18 years.
18 years ago today my 18 year old self walked… late… into the sanctuary of a large church in Pompton Plains, New Jersey and slipped into a back row. After the service I went to meet the family that had invited me. We’d been speaking for a few minutes when a young man in a […]
It’s a…
I had my anatomy ultrasound last week and we found out the gender of baby #9. I bought a pack of onesies for the kids to open to find out who is coming this spring. Much excitement around here.
Stellan Wyatt: 4
Today Stellan turns four. He’s been looking forward to this birthday since about this time last year. Always looking for the next birthday. He has yet to mention turning five next year, but it’s coming. It always does. He requested orange cake. I’m not entirely certain what his expectations there are since he’s never had […]
Curveball.
As has become for most of my recent pregnancies, I got to suffer through a kidney infection this week. This one decided to throw a curve ball and was resistant to the first antibiotic prescribed and came back with a vengeance after a day of feeling improved. Take two, hopefully this one works better. I’ve […]
Husky vs. Henhouse
I considered writing the first part of this last week, just because it was so bizarre it seemed good to write it down. Date it. Seemed like it was going somewhere eventually. I’d have never said it would go this way though. Friday morning the kids were outside and a husky showed up in the […]
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! I hope you all had a lovely day celebrating our Savior’s birth. We opened gifts, then played games. I got the kids Old Maid, Go Fish, and Crazy Eights because the younger few had no idea how to play any of them. They’ve turned into big hits here this week. It’s been fun, […]
New Vehicles and Major Accomplishments
We put together a 500 piece puzzle today. Mostly Pierce and I did it. He’s persistent and quite good at it. He’s ready to start another one. I haven’t done one for years, but growing up it was a Christmas vacation thing we always did. My littles were shocked I actually knew how. My bigs […]
12 weeks, huge, and making a turkey
Apparently this is what 12 weeks along looks like with baby number nine. I keep getting asked when I’m due. The looks of sympathy when I say not until spring are quite comical. Baby’s heartbeat is 155 and I’ve begun to feel it move. So very fun. Happy Thanksgiving! We’re creating our own little feast, […]
And, then.
Sterling made me a cute little owl wall hanging. He picked out walnuts from our tree, split them, and glued them on a branch to depict our family. “I even left a space for more. Just in case.” Smart boy. We’re looking forward to adding another owl to this lineup late next spring.
