She totally deserved it.

October 29, 2020 by Adrienne

Eden wears a leather string on her belt. She claims it’s to tie the excess belt down because the retaining loop broke, but it’s become her trademark. It hangs a good nine inches down from her belt.

Cue little brother and his shenanigans.

Eden was sitting on a chair at co-op during the meeting before classes, and Sterling was on the floor nearby, Stellan on his lap. He took one look at that strap dangling, sent Stellan to sit on her lap and distract, and tied her to the chair.

A group of boys all saw. I’m pretty sure there was snickering a cheering on Sterling for his brotherly love going on.

So meeting is over, Eden heaved herself up in typical unladylike Eden fashion, and the chair went flying, she went flying, and one of those snickering boys had to catch her before she hit the floor.

She was late to class, untying herself from the chair.

Now Eden is forever flicking Sterling’s hat off. Annoying, yes. But when you’re at co-op, have all your textbooks and homework in your backpack, weigh 65 pounds, and the backpack weighs 20, picking up the flicked hat is hard. Tip over and fall kind of hard.

She totally deserved it.

Happy birthday, Adrienne. 37 now. Congratulations. I woke up this morning and thought that this is 2 weeks after 3 Nov and therefore 17 Nov which is an important day for me and Janette. Janette is the third of her mother’s 7. Her mom was an only child and her mom, born in 1899 in Iowa was 41 when she was born.

I do hope your are healing well from the foot surgery. I did not tell you that we also have South Dakota in common since I learned how to square dance in 2012 in Bel le Fourche, SD while staying in Rapid City.

    Yours,

    Carl M. Davis
