Happy birthday Charlie and Pierce

October 4, 2019 by Adrienne

Charlotte turned nine last Thursday. Blaine took the day off and we made the rounds with free food coupons around town. Breadsticks at Little Caesar’s, popcorn chicken at Sonic (not free, but on sale and a fun treat), frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf. Then we went to the local painting place and the kids redeemed their free paint time coupons. It was a very fun day. Exhausting. But fun.

Charlotte chose a Snickers ice cream cake for her birthday dessert. Ruby made it for her. It was very good.

Just to rub in how old my children are getting, Pierce turned eight on Tuesday. We had co-op during the day, but family friends came over for supper and apple pie. A full out nerf war broke out and great fun was hard. With the ten of us and the ten of them, it was a blast. It was loud, crazy, and so much fun. I took exactly zero photographs. Blaine took some, thankfully.

It’s been a week of sweets, gifts, and late nights. There’s still two apple pies left. I told the kids they could have them with ice cream for breakfast tomorrow. Might as well send the week out with a bang.
