And… we’re down again.
We finished up meds last week, everyone has new, bright pink skin on all their spots that stand out in untanned fashion against their brown little bodies, and Pierce came down with something new. We saw the doc yesterday. Pierce has viral meningitis. From the way Stellan is now acting, he has it too. There’s no treatment, and it’s not dangerous. Just annoying. Pierce presented without fever, but Stellan is out to one-up him and has fever, body aches, stomachache, headache, and if he follows suit, soon he’ll be frantically running for the bathroom.
These are the less fun days of motherhood. The sanctifying ones, to be sure. We had plans. The pool, friends, and Silver Dollar City topped our list for the week. Instead I’m sending out apologies and recommending a backup plan to friends needing childcare, mourning free pool passes that will go to waste, and switching gears to try to minister to my children in their misery.
We’re wrapping up the last week of summer before we jump back into full fledged school… on the couch.

Oh my, I sure hate this for ALL of you. BUMMER!! What a miserable way to spend your last week of freedom before cracking the books. NO FUN!!
GOD BLESS you all with a quick recovery.
