Today, Elliot turned four years old. It’s crazy to think how fast that time has gone. We celebrated with her requests: chicken nuggets and fries, salads, and angel food cake with strawberries and ice cream. A friend of hers came over for the afternoon and they played and played and when she was gone, Elliot cried. Then she almost fell asleep in her supper and really did fall asleep during her after-dinner movie request, an episode of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman – a show from my childhood that the kids have been watching. They love it as much as I did as a kid. Blaine had extra comp time left over from last year so he took the day off and not a single kid’s face was without dirt by the end of the day. It was a great day.
