Charlotte has a Most Amazing Co-op Teacher. She loves her class, and talks about all they learn. It’s impressive. The first week of co-op, Charlotte – and each of the K4 students – came home with a Painted Lady Caterpillar. While I thought, many times, we’d killed the poor thing, this morning’s caterpillar check revealed one transformed caterpillar. We let it out and watched it fly away this morning before we headed out for church. So, so fun.
I’m rather glad to know I can manage to not kill a caterpillar. It felt like touch and go there for a while. My plans to move it out of the box were short lived when it made it’s chrysalis on the underside of it’s paper towel lining. I read of escaping caterpillars but this one apparently liked his home. There was more than one gap that made escape possible, but he stayed put and Charlotte has faith in our caterpillar raising capabilities still. Whew.

What a wonderful experience for Charlotte and the rest of siblings, and their mom, of course! Love Pierce’s blue boots.

I am sure that was exciting for all of you. Charlotte took good care of it it seems.
