One little boy’s freckled, speckled nose
now holds a pair of blue spectacles.
He’s enjoying the game of pretending he’s upset about them.
Every so often, though, I catch him making faces at himself in the mirror
and smiling.

Yup, sounds like you’ll be posting “new glasses” photos next. It’s a moment in motherhood. Rather sad to see their little faces change – but good that they can see better! Word to the wise, should you be buying glasses next week: the insurance is a 100% must. Trust me on that one.
