When your dear daughter, age eight, finds the recipe for the 9×13 pan of bars she’s been asked to make and she asks if she should make a double or triple batch and acts surprised when informed a single will be plenty… is that when you know your family is approaching the big side of normal?

But all that doubling and tripling has given her some awesome math skills.

    That girl needs to come see her grandma so she can bake for us and learn how to ‘downsize the recipe’. In fact, I could use that skill as well!
