You’re being watched, imitated, copied, and admired. Playing “house” was just taken to a whole new level. Now he has a badge to wear to work. Just like Daddy. (Oh, except he doesn’t take photos at work. He builds houses. With Legos.)
Liberty was washing out a diaper and asked Sterling to bring the lid to the diaper pail. (A drip catcher in the trip from the bathroom to the laundry room.) He came back empty handed. Liberty asked him where the lid was, and he had the best excuse I’ve heard of in a while. “There’s […]
For the last four days, my house has been a sick zone. Charlotte, Ruby, and Sterling have all lost their innards more times than I can count. Eden complained of a stomach ache but I have yet to see the same symptoms erupting from her. (Being sick might just be a good excuse to curl […]
That Tonka truck has provided more hours of entertainment, more races around the living room, more “rides” than even my stroller, I think. Silly children.
Certain to speed things along: A two year old knocking on the (only) bathroom door, announcing her need to relieve herself, being told to wait, and then hearing her song. “I’m waiting, I’m waiting, I’m waiting, I’m waiting to PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” Oh dear. You know you live in a crooked house when you play Jenga on the coffee table and Ruby, not quite understanding the laws of gravity and physics and whatever it is that requires balance for stability, does this: and it stands. And stands. And it takes five more turns before it’s Ruby’s turn again and […]
I’m not sure words are needed here. They had fun. The got to experience lots of things. It was really, really cold. Really cold. The difference in temperature between there last week at this time and the temp today here is 90 degrees. It’s pretty incredible.
Sterling and Ruby had their yearly physicals yesterday. Sterling was one inch taller and 2/10 of one pound heavier than Ruby. He didn’t care how much; he just wanted to know he was still bigger. I think Ruby passing him up is his worst fear. The look on his face when the doctor told him […]
We went to the Discovery Center in town on Friday. We… wore the kids out on a giant gerbil wheel, played with a bit of static electricity, played doctor, used the blood pressure cuff as a doll diaper changing pad, and attempted to anchor the evening news. It was a fun day. The kids were really […]
