Christmas included a visit from my niece and her new husband, my parents and Liberty coming for the long weekend, 12 days off of work for me, a pageant put on by the kids, 14 nerf ball guns, 8 rechargeable walkie talkies (Heavy emphasis on rechargeable. Super important feature.), one marble run, 5 made-by-me aprons, one embroidered baby blanket, one new bike, a drone that has been lost and found multiple times, and mud. So. Much. Mud. I may be already regretting the nerf guns, the walkie talkies are annoying but definitely useful, and the marble run pieces have been put together every which way a dozen times by now.
It’s been lovely to be home. Ruby made biscuits for our soup tonight and commented that she was wearing her apron for the first time. I’ve actually cooked all week. We’ve cleaned pretty much every room in the house, rearranged several rooms, and washed things like windows and walls. It’s been really good to catch up on some things.
Saying goodbye to my parents and Liberty never gets easier. It’s sad for days afterwards. I hate that. But having them here was so good.
Merry Christmas to all of you, and happiest of new years. I pray each of you was able to celebrate Christ’s birth with family and friends and reminders of His goodness to us.

How nice to have your parents and Liberty home. It is very hard to say goodnight to your loved ones. Never gets easy. When our son lived away it was always hard. He was only 4 and Hal hours away. I can’t imagine what it would have been to be as far as you all are from each other. We did get to see him pretty often.
Sounds like there was a lot of fun going on. Ha!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! GOD BLESS us with a Healthy, Happy Year!
