All the things.

Pierce’s eeg came back with the best possible news. Zero seizures. No abnormalities were seen in the area that that previously started all of the seizures. There’s one small spot in the back of his brain that slows for a fraction of a second occasionally but it was not concerning and did not cause any issues.

At this point, we wait. If he remains seizure free for two years on medications, we will potentially move towards weaning all medications. No further eeg’s are scheduled, though he may have an outpatient eeg to check to make sure those spots aren’t going to cause issues before we attempt a wean. All of this is tentative, but it gives so much hope for Pierce’s future. In total I-just-slept-on-a-couch-in-the-hospital fuzziness, but I love how happy Pierce looks here. So much relief.

Today I took my driving test with the Missouri Highway Patrol to get my cdl. I passed. I start in a bus in the morning. I’m so glad to have that behind me.

We have much to be thankful for around here. So much.
