Thanksgiving 2022

November 27, 2022 by Adrienne

Thanksgiving in our home was good. Very good. Liberty came, we made appetizers and fried a couple turkeys, and it was sheer chaos and such a mess. It was normal, for the first time in a year and a half. My kids were all under one roof. I mopped the floor half a dozen times over the weekend. I scrubbed spilled pecan pie from my oven and the drawer beneath it. It was just life, normal and loud, for a bit. I’m so thankful for my kids, for my family, for the house that is becoming home. We bought furniture for the living room just in time to have our first guests stop by, just for a few minutes. Liberty took the couch for a few nights, and having her here was so good. The mourning is real now that she’s left again.

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you. I hope your holiday was wonderful.

How nice you were able to have your kiddos all at home with you. I can only imagine how sad when Liberty let to go back. Bless your mama heart!! Thanks for this update.
