The ugly dresser the Liberty got for her birthday got a makeover. The starting piece, to remember how ugly it was:
Liberty sanded it and picked out a fun blue paint.
She tells me she enjoyed the project. I think it turned out really cute. Not perfect by any means – it wasn’t capable of perfection with it’s old-dresser issues. But it’s cute.
The only thing left is white stencils for the sides of the outside of the drawers, just for fun.
After thinking the handles might be copper or iron, then learning they are just wood – carved by hand, we think, given how unsymmetrical they are, Liberty decided to paint them a coppery color. Spray paint made them look copper anyhow.
Side note: Liberty passed her test for her commercial driver’s license last week. She’s a bonafide truck driver now! She’s driving a semi for work these days, hauling water to the fertilizer sprayer in the field.

Looks like she did a good job on finishing her dresser.
Congratulations on passing your test. She looks so young to be driving a semi. HA!

My smoker element died the next morning! Crazy. The replacement part arrived today but I need Blaine to drill holes to mount it since those don’t match up and I’m nervous start drilling. Hopefully we can make it work.
