Christmas Eve, Eden and Blaine rotated her tires. They put the best tread on the front (front wheel drive car) and the worse ones on the back. New tires were discussed but they were all still decent. This past Sunday, just over a week later, Eden got a flat tire on a rear tire. Somehow, she blew a big hole in it. Good news: she’d just changed the tires with Blaine and had the process fresh in her brain. She got the tire changed and came home with the donut on. Monday after work, she went and bought new tires for the front and had them rotated again.
Tuesday morning bright and early, with temps below zero, she was on her way to work and hit a drift on the road and spun into the ditch about two miles from where she’d blown the tire, on the same road. She hit her head on the side window in the process, but otherwise, Eden and her car both came away unscathed. Blaine took her to work, then Sterling, Blaine, and I went and pulled her car out with the van. She has violin lessons today in town. I’ll be taking her… We’ll let that poor car have a break. It’s had a rough week!
16 year old drivers are scary.

Thankful both are okay. Being parents of new drivers is hard!!! Sounds like she handled it well.

Thank the LORD for HIS protection. Things can sure happen in the blink of an eye. Thankful everyone is alright.
