Sometime before we went to church yesterday, my back decided to call it quits for the day.
I’m getting old. 35 is apparently the new 80. I can do nothing specific to hurt myself, and spend a day barely able to move. Day two isn’t looking much better.
On the bright side, almost every gift is wrapped. I have two more arriving in today’s mail and it’s done. I’m not usually finished before the last minute. Small mercies. I didn’t get the gifts counted, but I will. I’m guessing somewhere around fifty.
We spent a cold day at Silver Dollar City with friends this week. Even Blaine got to go. It was fun! Blaine was nervous about getting sick on the rides, but just before the park closed he agreed to ride a roller coaster in the dark with me. We stood in line for half an hour, got to the gate and were about to get on the ride when they announced the temperature had dropped below 40° and the ride was closing. I tried.
Today begins a week of vacation for Blaine. Major plans: wood cutting/splitting, house deep cleaning (my plan, not his!), and making a big Christmas meal (also my plan).
But first, ibuprofen.
