This is has been my project. For awhile now, I’ve had my grandma’s old Scrabble game. I kind of love it. Memories. I wanted to make something like this but it took me a while to figure out just what. Today, I put this together, bought scrapbooking papers for the matting, and framed it in a frame gifted from our neighbor. I love it. Please forgive me my scribbles in an attempt to keep my last name off of the internet. ?
I took the glass out of the frame, overlapped scrapbooking paper pieces and hot glued them to cardboard. I hot glued the Scrabble board to the scrapbooking paper, then hot glued each tile on to the Scrabble board. (Before I even began, I figured out placement, trying several layouts until I filled the board somewhat uniformly. I took a photo of the layout so I’d have a cheat sheet when I wrecked the board. It didn’t happen. But if I hadn’t had a photo to remember my layout… it would have! I did read elsewhere that there are websites that will place words in a Scrabblr form for you. I didn’t try one, but that might be an option. Once it was all dry, I put it back in the frame (sans glass) and hung it. I’m still toying with painting the frame. I’m not sure. I rather love it and am afraid to mess further. I’ll wreck something after all.
Every so often, I venture away from my sewing machine and attempt to be crafty elsewhere. It typically flops. But this one, I love!

That is such a neat idea. You did a great job too. That would make nice gifts for family members or close friends. Might even do it on a smaller scale.

So clever! Great use of a family antique.
