Today my oldest turned fourteen. When they say time flies, no one is kidding. Just mere moments ago this dear daughter was a 7lb 7oz newborn, screaming in my arms. And yet, she’s staring at the edge of adulthood.
So strange.
Liberty desperately wants a horse. We plan a trip back to my parents this week, and when we get back, the plan is to brave the chiggers and ticks and string electric fence around the pasture/woods/overgrown mess that has become the back half of our pasture. No promises just yet, but soon, very soon if Liberty has her way, this little acreage will have animal life once more.
Stellan tried on Liberty’s hat.
We celebrated the day with Blaine taking the day off, lunch out, ice cream, homemade German chocolate cake, and a fire. It was a fun day!

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Liberty. I am sure you wonder how 14 years went by so quickly. It is truly amazing how this can happen when work days seem so long. HA!!
It seems you all did have a very good day. German chocolate cake is a winner and roasted marshmallows, yum yum.
A fenced in area I predict will soon become the future home of a horse. HA!! Stella is ready to be a ride um cowboy. Cute!!
