We went to the zoo yesterday here in South Dakota. It’s the zoo I grew up going to, and our zoo pass from Missouri gets us on free here… Except apparently that’s changed this year. We got in at half price. Ten people at half price is still not cheap! Disappointing. Still, we had fun.
I think we have the nest that’s been there for as long as even I can remember filled to max capacity!
Elliot is in a zoo-crazy stage. She loves the monkeys, the giraffes, the elephants, the lions… It’s fun to see the world through her eyes. This zoo is far smaller without many of the animals we have in our zoo at home, but it was so much fun. The cutout boards are the best.
My grandma flew in from upstate New York last night. Most of my kids haven’t met her – I haven’t seen her since we lived in Pennsylvania. It should be a fun weekend. We head home Monday.

We love the zoo here in Arkansas and go to as many zoos and aquariums as we are able to while we travel. It looks like y’all had fun!
