I made Pierce a pair of suspenders. The poor boy loses his pants all the time. (Or is it the rest of us that are poor? The sight of his crack has been seen by many an innocent bystander.) First, I searched for pants in a slim fitting size for him. Apparently he stands alone with this problem, because while I found many pants for the heftier child, slims remain an enigma in a 4T. So… I fixed it. I thought. With a few minutes on my sewing machine, I solved the problem. He was a happy boy. He even kept them up while jumping on the trampoline. This makes momma happy.
I didn’t see his emerging backside even once after that. Yesterday. Today, I found him like this:
Fail. The boy beat me at my own game. I’m not even quite sure how. He assures me, however, that they are still helping like this. I think it’s just that he has the one pair of 4T slim pants known to mankind on… and these pants are the ones that assure me that, despite my failings in finding more, they do exist… in thrift stores in South Dakota.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!He is a mess!! Good job making them though.

I have them on my South Dakota thrift store list : -)

Momma,
I put them on him like that. I was jumping on the trampoline and I didn’t feel like clipping them on the right way. I know. I’m lazy. But it was easy and he didn’t care. So….
Adrienne says
That makes this even funnier! They looked pretty comical!

We like adjustable waist pants best. Children’s Place brand are usually easiest for us to find used. Last week I got a great deal on new ones on their website…$6.30 a pair. This way our slim waist boy can pass them down to his regular waist little brothers.

I’ve had Children’s Place for my girls and loved them. I found slims on their website (Both of my boys need slims… and Liberty but none of the other girls – it couldn’t have been THAT easy.) for $7.50 each and ordered some for Sterling and Pierce both. Thank you!
