Spring excitement.

Where’s Waldo? Blaine?

Blaine got home from work the other day and headed off to who knows what project he’d chosen for the evening. With a long list, you never quite know. The next thing I heard was the chainsaw. I went outside to see this. Blaine’s in there somewhere, perched in the tree, chainsaw in hand. It was something I wasn’t sure if I wanted to watch. Be there in case something happens or not sit watching, imagining what could happen?!

Sterling commented, as he watched his father perched in the tree hacking pruning away with the chainsaw, “What is he doing?! That’s ugly.”

One severely deformed tree now has shape. It’s a bit ugly, but I’m assured that once the leaves fill in, it’ll be fabulous. Less ugly than before, anyhow.

IMG_5120 (400x600)Exciting stuff, I tell you. Watching half a tree be felled had everyone gathered to watch. Eden even hollered, “FALLING!” as it fell. I think we need to educate her on the proper terms. It just didn’t have the same dramatic effect as “TIMBER!”.

LOL! I like “falling” too funny. Wow he just got up in there chainsaw and all?? That is impressive!

He attached his chainsaw to a rope, climbed the tree, then raised the saw with the rope. I’m sure it was exactly how the pros do it. 😉 It was scary to watch! I was imagining my husband with missing limbs.

I did not receive this post nor the one about Ellie being 5.5 weeks old. Sweet pics of the newbie and a bit scary of the timber guy. Ha!!!

I switched servers and web hosts and I’m not sure what all anymore… where did you get notifications from before? I’ll fix it if possible! I’ve missed you! 🙂
