Eden and Kevin have a baby in their arms! Falcon Alfonso arrived Monday morning. He was 8 lbs 12 oz and arrived after an unmedicated birth that was quite the experience for this grandma. Ruby caught baby, I cut the cord, Charlotte took photos, and the hospital and midwife there were great at honoring Eden’s wishes. She got the birth she wanted and after a brief nicu stay for his chest caving slightly during breathing, Falcon and Eden are home and thriving. He’s meeting great milestones like peeing on his father and smiling in his sleep and all is good. Very good.
Falcon was born on his Uncle Creed’s fourth birthday. That was a pretty spectacular gift for Creed.
Alfonso is Kevin’s late father’s name and Falcon is a derivative of our family name. All together, he is a joy and delight.
Now, I need a grandma name. Oma and Beppe and Meemaw and Nonni have all been suggested. I don’t know. I’m good with most of them. I’m momma here and Falcon will grow with his uncles and aunts close in age hearing me called that. Hard to know what to decide. Pretty sure he can call me anything and I’d be fine with it.
Eden Rayne, you did good. So good. I’m so proud of you. Kevin, you did pretty great too. Watching you be there for my baby girl as she became a mother to your son was an amazing experience.
Welcome to the family, Falcon Alfonso. You are so, so loved.

CONGRATULATIONS to all of you!! I know you will be a wonderful grandmother no matter what you are called. I am Gran and my husband is Grumpy. He named himself. Ha! We have a Granna and a Nanny in the family. I think Gigi is a cute name too. So many to choose from.
How is the house hunting going? Any prospects??
