Snow hit South Dakota last week. It’s all but gone again, but at the first hint of snow, Charlotte built a snowman. He’s teeny. He had to be measured in inches, not feet. His “hat” is a hose clamp. She whittled a baby carrot down with her teeth to make it appropriate to the size of his head.

Snow is pretty exciting for this southern-raised bunch. They’ll be less excited about it by the end of winter, I’m thinking. But for now, it’s provided a good bit of excitement and a lot of entertainment with the sleds. Stellan has spent hours each day out in one drift all last week.
