Getting up at 6:00 am is a privilege around here. Don’t you dare tell my children otherwise. Once you hit 4th grade, you may rise early and begin school alone. This year, Pierce hit the coveted milestone. He’s been frustrated that he’s slept through all attempts to rouse him early. I found him like this tonight. He’s determined he’ll hear his watch alarm tomorrow.
I wish him the best of success. Skeptically, yes. But I hope it works. Bare minimum: his cheek will be hair free when that duct tape comes off.
Introducing: Liberty Skye, inventory supervisor at her Braum’s. She got promoted! And full time, plus taking 17 credits at the tech school. I’m so proud of her. To celebrate, she planned a fun day off that got pushed back to an evening off because she got called into work. Welcome to management, baby girl.
And finally, deer season opened today. These two set up a blind, took their bows, and waited for the deer at the neighbors to come into ours. It didn’t happen. But there’s many months of bow season to try again.

That is so cute with the watch duct taped to his ear. Pretty inventive at that. HA!!
Congratulations Liberty! Seems like a hard working to be in training for a supervisor at her age.
Oh yes, the deer will come eventually. Especially when you don’t want them in your gardens or flowers. Maybe they can fill your freezer.
Carl M. Davis says
Good luck on the deer. And best of luck to your daughter as she continues to progress.
