We’re camped for the night in a little town in Kentucky. About ten minutes after my last post, Eden found gum in her hair.
An hour after that, we got fuel. An hour after that, I got a text from the bank that holds the card we used at the pump. And then another text. Someone tried to shop online with our card twice to the tune of $1300.
I can now say I’ve washed gum out of hair with the crunchy peanut butter we brought along on our trip in a Walmart bathroom. Word to the wise: creamy is better. Easier. But the gum is gone.
As for the card, we have backup. All is well. I’m thankful for diligence on the part of the bank.
Time for sleep. Praying for less drama tomorrow.

Glad all is well now. Been there done that about the credit crd fraud. Someone got my husband’s card number on a business trip. It was for $7000 of liquor. Now tell me how anyone can got to 3 stores without a card and buy that much liquor???? Everyone I worked with got a good laugh knowing we were definitely not drinkers. Haha!!

Oh boy, give me gum in my hair any day– but credit card fraud, never! I’m terrified if this kind of thing, though it is a relief the bank was onto it and helped you out. Best of luck on the remainder of the trip!
