Liberty attended her first homecoming dance last weekend.
It all actuality, I attended my first homecoming dance last weekend as well. I was homeschooled, but homecoming wasn’t a homeschooling thing back then. But our co-op hosts one, and I worked at it on the security team. Fun times.
Liberty looked amazing. A friend from co-op did an incredible job with her hair. Her dress was so “her”. It was so fun.
Liberty’s friend from student council asked if he may escort her, and they did pictures at the park ahead of time and then their whole group of friends went out to dinner before the dance.
Memories. It’s hard to believe I have a child old enough to be in high school and experiencing such firsts. It feels like I’m treading new waters. I’m so thankful Liberty is making this easy on me. (And she indulged me in my photographing the event!)
