The boys love feeding cows. The two older boys are getting big enough now that they are actually able to kick off hay when we are feeding small square bales. They are oh so happy to actually do Matthew’s job and have Matthew drive for them in the field rather than the norm of boys driving for Matthew while he pitches off hay to the cows. I suppose it won’t be long and feeding cows will be just another chore and no fun.
Rachele likes her slightly warmer spot, for another year or two.
We had nine puppies running around for a while. They have since all found homes but the boys loved to bring them in the house and play with them. I didn’t have the heart to tell them no, so the rule was that boys cleaned any messes that puppies made while in the house. It worked out very well. No word on all the puppy teeth marks on everything though.
Sister is excited about her puppy, who apparently has laser eyes… She ought to be more excited that he is being delivered. I am thinking about making the trip back east to see my family sometime this year. So not excited about the thought of an almost 4,000 mile round trip with 5 children, 2 of which are still nursing, but it has been a few years (and several children born) since I have seen them -and I would so love to see Sister and get to meet Ellie!

So many wonderful memories your children will have from their growing up years. Some pretty precious children, and yes, I’m biased.

Now that is a LONG trip to deliver a dog. HAHA!!! I know the main reason is to see family. I can just imagine how excited the children will be to see each other.

What a cute baby girl! That’s how our kids ride too! Farm baby in the cab, all the rest in the back. And, wow, isn’t it great every time they learn a new skill in helping! It’s amazing what fairly young kiddoes can do!
