You know it’s been a long day of play when sitting down to go potty results in a nap.

But when that nap has you falling off the potty and you stay asleep and the nap continues on the floor… maybe, just maybe, there’s been too much summer fun going on.

Pierce came in while I was in the shower yesterday afternoon and was singing from his seat on the potty. All grew quiet, and I assumed he’d finished and left. Nope. He was out. After a short internal debate on moving him or leaving him be, I left him be, assuming he’d wake shortly and be far happier than if I woke him when I moved him. That lasted mere minutes before the crash had me running… hoping in his fall he hadn’t tipped the contents of the potty. Nope, we’re good. But there he lay, asleep on the floor. He slept through his pants being pulled back up and being carried to the couch. I think he was tired.
