We spent the night in the new house for the first time last night, 13 days after we bought it. We lack most of our furniture, only the kids rooms are finished with paint, and there’s so many projects to finish. But it was getting colder at night in the camper and I was over it. We hauled camper mattresses in, the kids mostly slept in their rooms… Blaine and I slept in the bathroom. It was a pregnant lady’s dream… except I’m not pregnant. Still, it was warmer and it’s home. It smells better by the day, it’s taking shape to look like ours, and we’re all tired and sore from the work of it. But… home.
All the bedrooms and living/dining room are going to be the “silver charm” color. “Crystal lake” is my kitchen paint. The bathrooms are going to be a lighter gray. Closets are a lovely peach/off white. (Can you say clearance paints?! I’ve spent almost a thousand dollars on stain blocking primer and paint at this point. I’m over it.)
The kids are enjoying the southern fall. I have to say, it’s beautiful here. So beautiful.
The front of the house shutters/door/fascia will get paint too. It’s paining me to have it low on the priority list.
We keep plugging along, painting and scrubbing. I can’t wait to see it finished. My back and arms look forward to that day as well.

I can’t fathom all the hard work. Step by step it will get done. I am one the likes it all done NOW. Haha!! I do not have patience!!
GOD BLESS you all with this project.
